Plan Your Visit
We want to make the time you spend with us at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) run as smoothly as possible. The staff members of our main campus and other locations are pleased to provide the following information to help you plan.
Before your visit, take a look at the directions to our main campus by car, subway, or bus, as well as parking information. We also provide hotel recommendations and discount information.

What to Bring
All patients should bring Medicare, Medicaid, and/or insurance cards and identification to each visit.
All new patients must show identification, preferably picture ID with proof of address, when you come for your first visit. If you belong to a managed care plan, a referral from your primary care doctor is necessary. It is your responsibility to obtain the referral prior to your visit with us and to bring it with you when you come for your appointment. Please have the referral made out to New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.
Sights and Sounds Cafe
The Sights and Sounds Café is available to all outpatients, families, and visitors of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. The Café is open from 6:30 am to 3 pm daily.
