On the Operating Room Floor
 
2nd floor operating rooms All pediatric surgeries are done in the operating rooms of the 2nd floor, the larger of our two floors of surgical suites. 

Surgery is always serious. Throughout the hospital, however, we have colorful touches and caring staff who make our patients and their loved ones feel as comfortable as possible. 

   
The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary does more than twice as many tonsillectomies as any other hospital in New York We don't mean to rush you -- but you're next, little guy!

Parents will be comforted to know their children are in experienced hands. For instance, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary does more than twice as many tonsillectomies as any other hospital in New York.

   
One parent may accompany each child into the operating room Parents and children are greeted at the entrance to the surgical suites. At this point, we must strictly observe the rule that only one parent may accompany each child.
