On the
Operating Room Floor

All pediatric surgeries are done in the operating rooms of the 2nd floor, the larger of our two floors of surgical suites.
Surgery is always serious. Throughout the hospital,
however, we have colorful touches and caring staff who make our patients and their loved ones feel as comfortable as possible.

We don't mean to rush you -- but you're next, little guy!
Parents will be comforted to know their
children are in experienced hands. For instance, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary does more than
twice as many tonsillectomies as any other hospital in New York.

Parents and children are greeted at the entrance to the surgical suites. At this point,
we must strictly observe the rule that only one parent may accompany each child.
