Accommodations in the Pediatric Surgery Center

Cribs are for infants, babies and toddlers The 9th floor is specially designed to accommodate children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and their families. Infants, babies and toddlers are assigned to safety cribs grouped according to size. Beside every crib is a lounge chair for parents.

Twin beds are assigned to older children

Older children are assigned to typical twin bedded rooms, with roommates as close in age as possible. Again, parents must stay in the room with the child at all times.

Playroom on the 9th floor While waiting, families and children of all ages often prefer "hanging out" in the playhouse playroom. It was designed to look like a cool treehouse -- in the heart of the city. TV, toys and just talking to others eases anxiety and makes the day more pleasant. Also, we have a policy that the playroom is just for fun: no medication or injections given there!
