Dr. Michael Strauss New Director of Medicine at NYEEI
New York, NY (December 2008) -- Michael L. Strauss, MD, has been named Director of Medicine. Dr. Strauss, a practicing internist, has been on staff at the Infirmary since 1983. He is a graduate of the Free University of Brussels, Belgium and did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cabrini Medical Center.
He is past president of the New York Society of Acupuncture for Physicians and Dentists and conducts portions of the training course for this society.
Dr. Strauss succeeds Bernard Kabakow, MD, long-time attending physician at BIMC and NYEEI, who last year was designated an honorary member of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Alumni Association.
